Calcium Sulfate Whisker Introduction
Calcium Sulfate Whisker is also known as Gypsum Whisker or Gypsum Fiber, and always abbreviated as CSW. Chemical formula is CaSO4.
CSW is the fibrous single crystal of Calcium Sulfate which having lots of excellent physical and chemical properties, like high strength, high modulus, high dielectric strength, abrasion resistance, high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, good infrared reflection, easy for surface treatment, good interaction with polymer compound, non-toxic, etc
Combining both of the superiority in reinforcing fiber and superfine inorganic filler into the same one, CSW could be not only applied as reinforcing flexibilizer or functional filler in resin, plastic, rubber, coating, paint, papermaking, asphalt, ceramics, friction and sealing material, but also applied as filter material, insulation material, refractory insulation material, infrared reflection material, high property insulation material of wire package.
