Barium sulphate is a cheap and effective white inorganic light stabilizer which can avoid the aging of the paint surface and it can also be used as strengthening agent in the paint because it has very high filling and oil absorption is not high so that it can make the cost of all kinds of oily coating, water-based coating decreased significantly.

Reduce splvent content: Low oil absorption of precipitated barium sulfate can effectively increase the solid content of color paste and reduce the amount of solvent. Almost no effect on viscosity and VOC reduction.
Shorten the frinding time: The application of barium sulfate in the preparation of coatings can effectively reduce the problem of flocculation in the preparation of various pigments, not only can save raw materials, but also can effectively shorten the time of grinding dispersion.
Very good weather/chemical resistance: Barium sulfate has strong light reflection ability in the ultraviolet wavelength range and it can cooperate with TiO2 in good sun resistance and weather resistance.
